ICEA Lion Group & Miti Alliance launched a Tree Nursery to grow 10,000 future trees, using available space and seeds from mature trees. We built a strong nursery structure, potted 5,000 bags with rich forest soil, and trained the team on seed collection and nursery management.

A syntropic agro-forestry garden blends farming and agroforestry, letting vegetables, herbs, fruits and biomass trees thrive together in a small space. At CCM Ontulili Comp. School, we trained 214 students and planted 250 fruit trees, 60 herbs, and 7,950 vegetable seedlings.

Our Miti Schools Projects don’t end with a seedling. 🌱 We return season after season, teaching on species, weeding, re-mulching, and watering as young forests take shape. It’s hands-on, communal, and where a school becomes part of the forest’s future. 💚 #mitialliance #miyawaki

Earlier this year, Miti Alliance and Metis established a Regenerative Agroforestry Garden at Murungai School, Laikipia - training 230 students and planting 4,500 vegetables, 100 fruit and 560 woodlot trees. And now, 389 kids eat a nutritious meal at lunch from their own soil. 🥦
