1) I've had authentic Japanese food for the first time in my life this year at Ooki restaurant in ZΓΌrich, Switzerland π¨π with my lovely
@tigeroutoforder
! It was an absolutely amazing experience I'll treasure for as long as I can remember it. ππ€
2) If it wasn't for
#HazbinHotel
, I probably would've abandoned cosplay in 2020. Instead, I learned SO MUCH about wig styling, make up and editing and had some lovely & funny experimental photoshootings. My wife was an amazing photographer as always! (

3) I've learned that it's okay to not be productive at all times. At the same time I found my way back to some hobbies I've had lost inspiration and motivation for (especially drawing). The biggest step for me was to realize the things I make for myself don't have to be perfect.
4) I've had a much needed talk with my family and I felt nothing but relief afterwards! For years, I was very anxious when it came to certain topics with my family and hometown, and to get that off my chest helped a lot. π
5) I was able to have a wonderful vacation with my closest circle of friends & my wife in one of my favorite holiday spots since childhood!

@HasiAnn4I
And I'm really looking forward to repeating that once everything has settled down again. π€π
6) I saw Babymetal live for the first time & was brave enough to actually throw myself into the moshpit. ππ€ I also discovered amazing bands like SKYND and Equilibrium. π₯°
7) I got myself a new couch, which feels like the best investment of the past 3 years. π€£ I couldn't even stretch out my legs on the previous one!! Added bonus: I rearranged the furniture in my room so I can look out of the window & relax when laying on my couch. ππ€
8) I've had the best, most relaxed Halloween ever, spending the whole day with
@HasiAnn4I
. π₯° In general, I was in such a spoopy mood almost all of September & October and watched lots of cool scary movies & shows! (The Haunting of Hill House being my favorite by far!!)
9) I worked up the courage to start wearing lipstick out of cosplay & in public! I was afraid of/self-conscious about it for the longest time but this year I was finally brave enough! π also: more experimental make up looks in general πͺ
10) I started bonding & got closer to a coworker of mine that I really admire, and we even got to spend some time together out of work to start a disney movie marathon, which made me immensly happy. π
11) Even though my fav convention was cancelled this year, a small group of my closest friends still managed to meet and take some pics in amazing locations. π It was some much needed quality time before spending a long time apart. ππ€
12) I didn't make many videos this year, but the ones I did I'm really proud of and I love what I've done with the editing! π
It was the first time in a long while that I actually enjoyed watching myself in a video I've made.
13)
@maxnausea
and I met for the first time IRL this year and I'm still itching to repeat that as soon as possible!! ππ€ You'll always have a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to make more memories with you as soon as circumstances allow us to. π€
14) The week I anticipated to be the most stressful of the year at work actually went by pretty smoothly which was a huge relief. π€π€
And I still gathered enough extra hors (considerably stress-free) to get a full week of free time in 2021 without using a single vacation day. π
15) A cosplayer I really admire gave me a shoutout out of nowhere and we started chatting, got along really quickly, realized we have A LOT in common, and already made some cosplans together. π₯°
16) I've found a mantra that helps me calm myself down & fall asleep faster. π I also have the feeling it improves my mental health a little, so I'm definitely holding on to that. π€
18) Seeing Blausee in Switzerland. π¨π The lake itself, the forest around it and the flora and fauna there were breathtakingly beautiful, and the excellent company I was in made this day extra special. π₯°
19) I've slowly but surely started to reclaim "sullied" memories (aka stuff I was shamed for when I was younger) and replacing them with better & new ones. Mainly meaning, I started doing things for fun again even though I might not be good at them.
20) I got some colorful patterned socks this year and I LOVE THEM. π₯°π₯°π₯°
Also there's something very magical about going out full goth, and nobody knowing you're wearing cute space kitty socks underneath. π€
22)
@nachoupala
shouting "CIABATTA" when a capybara was shown on TV. Always makes me laugh when I remember that moment. π€£ππ€ Thank you for providing an unending source of joy.
23) I rewatched my favorite childhood anime this year and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-written it is. π₯° If you haven't yet, I highly recommend watching or reading Inuyasha!
