This week, the Birmingham Eastside Metro extension sees the completion of the bus stop outside of the Clayton Hotel, and the reopening of some of the surrounding public realm as we move closer to project completion.

Please note that on Wednesday 3 September, the alleyway between Birmingham New Road and Lindley Avenue will close between 06:00 and 16:00. A one-lane closure will be in place on Birmingham New Road for up to 15 minutes early in the morning.

Eastside or Greenside? Lots of new greenery has shown up in the planters around the Clayton Hotel and Moor Street Queensway this week, as part of the Birmingham Eastside Metro extension. Tram testing is still ongoing, so please keep in mind our previous safety guidelines.

Great Bridge's Great Stairs The staircase has been installed at the Great Bridge tram stop this week, as part of the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension. Elsewhere on the route, paving continues at Horseley Road tram stop, alongside other activities.

Over on the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension, this week sees guard rails being installed at the Horseley Road tram stop, along with reinforcement and track installed on the Access Road Flyover at the Delta Junction in Wednesbury.

Over in Birmingham this week, alongside the tram testing, more work has been done on the temporary stop that serves Millennium Point and Clayton Hotel, including a new temporary crossing, as part of the Birmingham Eastside Metro extension.
