In 2020, a Florida lawmaker proposed a bill that required sellers to disclose if a property has ever flooded. Many other states have this requirement because homes that flood once often flood again.
SB 1474 didn't even get heard by the committee it was assigned to.

I found Florida offered no protections for citizenry when my husband was laid off by a sketchy contractor. Unlike ,say Illinois,where you are required to be paid in full in a timely manner.Florida requires the employee to sue for their back pay.All laws favor the employer in Fl.
Florida law also has no protections for tenants, like the ones in Good Samaritan. A landlord does not have to disclose if the unit is at risk of flooding or has a history of it, and renter's insurance doesn't cover water damage.
