Let's remember that our Father among the Saints, St Gregory Palamas, Archbishop of Thessaloniki, rejected polytheism and affirmed the numerical singularity of the divine energy.
The same flame can light and heat at the same time. 🔥
It is false to infer from the presence of both light and heat that there must be one flame doing the lighting and a different flame doing the heating. 🔥🔥
Let us reject the polytheistic error of claiming that there is a "major real distinction" between the divine energies.
That is not the Orthodox faith. It is something else entirely.
And with St Gregory Palamas, "the invincible champion of theologians" (τῶν θεολόγων ὑπέρμαχος ἀπροσμάχητος), let us confess our faith in the one God, worshipped indivisibly in the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

I went to his church in downtown Thessaloniki where is body is. It’s in a little side room on the left as you walk in the church. When I opened that door, a wave of the strongest myrrh scent I’ve ever smelled erupted out of the door and washed all over me. He’s amazing

Thought of you in church today, where I brought an Eritrean acquaintance, who prostrated herself in the central aisle before taking a seat in a pew. Such multicultural beauty in our church!
