We are having an astonishing time at the Vale of Rheidol railway - last day tomorrow. Steam trains to left of me, mainline trains to the right of me and I’m stuck in the middle with a 200ft model railway ! 🙂 Got this shot today of the TfW 158 on the layout - the same as outside

Annie and Clarabel complete the set. Annie was built in 1927 and Clarabel in 1948! 💛🧡 All three are now preserved at the Talyllyn Railway Museum, as part of the re-creation of Rev. Awdry’s study at Wharf Station.

A true piece of railway history joined us recently, the original Thomas, Annie & Clarabel, built by Rev. Wilbert Awdry himself! ✨ Hand-built by Awdry in 1982, this MK3 Thomas (based on a Hornby LBSCR E2) is the definitive version of the world’s most famous tank engine. 🚂
