I tried alerting the authorities at Canada House but they wouldn’t let me in……. That said there was some Yukon Kwanlin Dün exhibit sign which is cool.

Heading to Yukon again tomorrow for another round of fieldwork and community engagement. Photo was just sent by a member of the group who was doing some 24 hour measurements of shrub stomatal conductance. Looks like night is coming.... then winter....

Wayne Rouse was a driving force on my committee during my MSc and PhD. He cared deeply about Canada’s north, climate change, and everyone he met. Much of his work was ‘pre internet’ and now overlooked. Looking back, Wayne was far ahead of the curve in every way. Remember him.

Check out Arsh's @ak__grewal new #OpenAccess paper in @HydroProcesses that finally looks in the 'black box' that was Wolf Creek @WolfCreekYT for many years. Flows, isotopes and solutes showed unexpected results. Lots of type 2 fun fieldwork here!

High spatial heterogeneity drives high spatial stability of discharge and chemistry in a cold subarctic mountain across all four seasons, despite high seasonality often present in cold regions.

Shrubs, permafrost, hydrology, climate, ecology... and their interactions. Who knew? Cory Wallace @CoryWallace7 at his poster today knew! What the future holds for rapidly chaining northern environments is a big focus here at #AGU2013. @forestecogroup @CompHyd_Earth

Great talk by Arsh @ak__grewal on day 1 of #AGU23. Big crowd to listen about the influence of permafrost and frozen ground on flow-solute relations.
