I was with Jodorowsky at Cannes Film Festival after screening of Santa Sangre 1989, when a French journalist asked him, incredulously, what was in his mind when he made Santa Sangre? He gave this legendary response. How I wish that ANY filmmaker nowadays would be so brave.
