#SommetIA

For @Turkeyrecap, @MouterW and I dive into the world's #1 destination for used European mega-ships: the shores of Aliağa, Turkey 🇹🇷 , whose workers are fighting for recognition and compensation of occupational diseases linked to asbestos exposure 👇

Aliağa hosts the fourth-largest ship dismantling area in the world. It’s also the most popular destination for EU vessels. Despite this, Aliağa remains marred by a lack of safety standards and poor labor conditions @MouterW and @lyse_mauvais report: https://t.co/Poamljcn7i

I've only held 2 stable jobs in my life, and in both of them the company insisted on calling itself a "family". Please don't. It's not 1950 anymore, employees are not children and you can't morally abuse them as if they were. (Not that you should abuse your kids anyway.)
