Squirrel exchange programme.
My dad traps squirrels on his property and drives them to the next town over and releases them by the rural route post boxes and one time he saw a guy dropping squirrels off at where he walks the dog and that guy was from the next town over lol.

Successive govts. have been far too reliant on “opportunity / constraint” mapping, presumably driven by remote data and algorithms - to the point where stuff can’t happen even though it’s clearly the right thing if you just looked on the ground or listened to the people who do.
So this week in the world of farm/environment/land management/ mapping has been “interesting”. And by “interesting” I mean “verging on the utterly bonkers”. Why? Well this week started with Natural England, the government body that looks after the environment launching a new map.
