Story from @lucy_macdonald1: The three Jacqui Lambie Network incoming MPs are close to signing a deal with the Liberals to help them form government. They will guarantee confidence and supply but are likely to vote however they want on other issues. https://t.co/esU8DkdQZD

In Braddon, Craig Garland is within 114 votes of passing the Greens which will open up the race to win the final seat. The Liberals need the last spot in Braddon to reach 15 seats. #politas #tasmaniavotes

🔽🔽 Body parts taken from 147 people involved. 147. From 1953-1985. Were families told? Did they know that their loved ones were missing body parts because UTAS/Museum had decided to keep them? Who authorised this? Why was the Coroner told?
Some days, I am gobsmacked. 8 years after the Coroner’s office was told, it’s NOW decided to investigate how/why the Museum had body parts from autopsies. Still unsure if family members knew. The Coroner now is busy on other matters so that’s it for today.

In a highly contested environment, i/vs with pollies & candidates are vital for democracy. Especially during election campaigns. Despite an offer 5 weeks ago of a live or pre-recorded interview tomorrow @TasLiberal / @jeremyrockliff say now 'they have other commitments'.

This isn't about getting answers for survivors and their families, it is a disgusting stunt that has done nothing but ensure that today the survivors are re-living their trauma.”

"Before thinking up this grubby election stunt, did Dean or Rosalie consider what they were dredging up for the people that have been through this abuse? Or does that come second to their own vote tallies?

I was contacted by a victim survivor of deceased police officer Paul Reynolds this morning. #politas He asked me to share the following: "In what world is it okay to politicise someone's abuse?

Had a few people ask to see a transcript of Liberals ‘tough on youth crime’ press conference from Friday, here’s the Q&A Liberal media advisor told journalists afterwards that the questions were “attacking” and we were asked what we would do on youth crime instead (?) #politas

Every time we accept the familiar redemption routine – a belated apology, an investigation, and then a commitment to “do better” – without any structural change, we are choosing to accept lip service. #qanda #istandwithstan

Now, this might just be me, but I reckon we can have a discussion about institutional and cultural racism without turning it into open season where you air every gripe you've ever had about the ABC. This is about discrimination, not vocabulary and pronunciation. #istandwithstan

Animals have stood side-by-side with soldiers in some of the bloodiest battles in history, and saved countless lives, yet some people say their roles in war are still overlooked.

Yesterday I had to quit a permanent position to accept a contract in a role I've long sought after. It's ~ my 12th ABC contract. The instability is stressful & unsustainable. We need job security & pay progression – especially in our regional newsrooms. #DontDiscountABC @withMEAA
