75 million identical requests to my DoH server from the Facebook crawler over the past 24 hours. Anybody @Meta could help? This is not sustainable.

Very happy with ghostty terminal. I migrated from Wezterm mainly because it has consistent behavior between Linux Gnome and MacOS + it is snappy and polished. Excellent work from the creator @Mitchellh and maintainers. #ghostty

Notion uses SQLite compiled to WASM in browsers. This comment on HN provided a likely explanation behind the move. tl;dr: - LocalStorage: 10MB limit, lost writes - IndexedDB: Performance issues, reliability bugs hard to debug

Black Mirror has arrived, ahead of schedule. An entire cast of deepfaked people tricked a CFO out of $25 million. “(In the) multi-person video conference, it turns out that everyone was fake” Deepfaked shit is getting real.

After more than 11 years, I've decided to move on from HashiCorp. HashiCorp achieved more than my wildest dreams and I'm proud of the role I played. While this has been long planned, its still an emotional day. Here is the letter I shared with employees:

Bakhmut has been captured by Russian forces. However the picture is not as sweet as they make out, to the outskirt SW districts fighting still rages and on the flanks they are struggling to advance. A battle of attrition over 10 months which has served its military purpose.

Windows terminal is really nice. I work mostly in Linux VMs running on Windows or remotely. I used to run i3 + gnome terminal inside the VM. But sshing into the VM with Windows Terminal + tmux for tiling is more efficient and better integrated with Windows (not a fan of WSL).

The nice thing about AWS AZ's is a guarantee that they are physically spread out ("many kilometers"). GCP zones on the other hand are located within the same building, so a physical incident impacting one zone (a flood in this case), impacts all within the region.
