@TichinaArnold My issue with them is getting Black immigrants to play our hero’s and celebrities. Look at the new Whitney Houston, look at Harriet. Neither one were Black Americans. We have enough talent actresses to play those roles and what they are doing is intentional

@lovemyblackness @TichinaArnold Comments like this clearly shows y’all aren’t about any revolution. I’m not expecting you to unify with every minority group, but now you feel some kind away about a different member of the African diaspora playing a Black role. Good Lord, we are hopeless if this is groupthink.

@Amanhasnoname82 @TichinaArnold I only want to unify my Black people right here the US. We are all descendants of American slaves and we don’t ole nobody anything. Once we get our shit together then and only then is that even a concern unifying. We have bigger fish to fry right now.

@lovemyblackness @TichinaArnold The same Black American woman director did both Harriet and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. The casting of non-Americans would be a question for her.

@lovemyblackness @TichinaArnold Wow this has been happening to us blacks from South Africa and Africa many of our heroes like Steve biko and Nelson Mandela have been played by black Americans who don't even know where duduza is.

@SupaTsakane @TichinaArnold Those are American made movies. Not African made. I’m not saying anything disparaging about Africans. I’m talking about Hollywood ONLY. Having people play our icons. I’m not explaining that again.

@Dogonpuk @TichinaArnold lol right. Don’t get me wrong my issue is picking immigrants to play those I consider very special to us. I don’t care about those other roles But Harriet Tubman, MLK, Aretha? they chose black immigrants And it their fault Is Hollywood being very deliberate

@lovemyblackness @TichinaArnold But the director has final say in casting and the director is a Black American woman.
