I have a love-hate relationship with AI, and I think that most experienced developers feel the same way.

@lovelacecoding indeed. there are certainly things AI is GREAT for (documentation, commenting, tests, etc) - but they DO mess up some of the most simple tasks... I am still learning to prompt, I know some of it is that!

@lovelacecoding Yep I feel the same way. Sometimes I am surprised what good things it can do for me and at other times I simply stop and do it myself. Really like a junior programmer. Keeps us sharp.

@lovelacecoding Absolutely. I think the initial craze should pass. I got a bit tired of it and the loss of the wonder I obtained by diving in by myself. For me now it's a deluxe code snippet completion artifact. Guide me if I'm in the dark but then I'll drive the ship.
