Unexpected findings in wildling mice challenge a popular idea that allergies emerge from overreactive and bored immune systems without sufficient exposure to microbiota, due to today’s strict hygienic practices. @SRosshart

Graded expression of CX3CR1 define states of memory in human and murine T cells. So happy to have been part of this lovely study from @CGerlach_lab that introduces a new tool to follow T cell responses in clinical cohorts - and data on T cell states in healthy human skin.
Excited to share our study now in @ImmunityCP. Graded expression of the chemokine receptor CX3CR1 marks differentiation states of human and murine T cells and enables cross-species interpretation. @karolinskainst

Exciting study by @liveidsmo reveals that memory killer cells play a crucial role in melanoma survival. High levels of these specialized immune cells in cancer tissue are associated with better outcomes. https://t.co/H3avyHrkaJ

Researchers from the University of Copenhagen and Karolinska Institutet have shown that people with better survival in melanoma also have high levels of such memory killer cells in cancer tissue.
