But since these repairs *always* get politicized by people who know better, what about an all party committee decides upon repairs and costs? Choose MPs who aren’t rabid partisans. Make smart choices, fix these heritage buildings so our leaders & future leaders can call them home

@lisakirbie Stornoway is managed by the National Capital Commission and an important part of the government of Canada properties. As such, it should be properly maintained as the residence of the leader of the official opposition in Canada's Parliament.

@lisakirbie Agree, except I'm not sure about 24 Sussex. It has been neglected for so long, it might be best to save some of the beautiful interior features, tear down the structure & build something new to showcase our architects. Prime Ministers deserve to live in a healthy, gracious home.
