A thought provoking presentation from Dr Mike Weinbren at the @IPS_Infection ECD conference - highlighting the importance of identifying risk in design, the need for systematic learning in healthcare construction…ultimately preventing infections at source is far more effective!

I was so engrossed in the sessions that I completely forgot to do any Tweeting (or is it Xing now?). Thoroughly engaging session from Andrew. @IpsEcd.
New buildings are used for c.70-100 years, while clinical practice, standards and risk change far more frequently. Adapting existing buildings is challenging – but Andrew Poplett’s @IPS_Infection ECD ventilation strategies & management of derogations talk tackled this very topic.
