Does Winnipeg have a king of IPAs?! Is it @kilterbrewing ? YEP!!!! This Final Phantasy Double IPA hits some serious melon notes, with a full juicy mouth feel, hoppy and very distinctly dank. 8% ABV These guys know how to brew! Keep em coming. #craftbeer

WHAT'S ACCOMPANYING TODAY'S GROUND BEEF BURRITO? How about a @RainhardBrewing (west Toronto) Jaguar Shark Hazy IPA? Is it a perfect pairing? Lemme tell ya this... burritos don't care. Everything pairs with a burrito! At 6%, this is creamy from the oats with tons of pineapple!

WHY A CASE OF... @amsterdambeer Boneshaker IPA was so pricey. My Beer Store was out of Headstock so I started listing off other IPAs. I stopped at yes to Boneshaker. It cost $15 more but I found out why. The cans were 568 ml (19.2 oz) instead of 473 ml (16 oz). A lot more beer!

HAD THIS YESTERDAY AND IT'S FUNNY... that it's called a New England IPA. Because it's clearly west coast. At 6.8%, there's no real haze, orange and grapefruit up front, strong resin and pine back end. The @signalbeerco Fire Wire IPA has clearly been mislabeled. ALL West Coast!

THEY ALREADY MAKE HEADSTOCK... which to me, is the best west coast IPA in Ontario. So why did @NickelBrookBeer create Uncle Goose, another west coast IPA? For a "Name The Beer" contest in 2021, it turns out. At 6.3, this is orange and back-end pine. Pretty darn tasty, too!

THIS WON GOLD AT CANADIAN BREWING AWARDS! While we have been dedicated to finding a peanut butter-chocolate beer that tastes like a Reese's, this is close but not quite. The @ImperialBrew Chocolate Milk Peanut Butter Porter is like a Reese's but with dark chocolate. Damn tasty!

JUST DROPPED DAVID OFF WITH HIS MOM... so time to pop into Sarnia's Imperial City Brew House for a quick pint and some takeout adult beverages. At 6%, this Brew Jay Blue IPA has blueberries for sure and I think raspberry too. Different taste for an IPA but really quite fun.

WHAT THE HELL, ANOTHER DOUBLE IPA FOR DONNY! Is this the first Double IPA @CowbellBrewing has brewed? Might be. The 8% Double Exposure Double IPA is, thanks to the Huell Melon hops, is as expected. A solid addition to Ontario's many IIPAs. But dangerous. Tastes like a 6% single.

A NEW BEAUTY OUT OF TORONTO! Given @BurdockBrewery Ducks IPA is pretty damn good, it stands to reason that their Double Ducks Imperial IPA might be even better. It is. At 8%, this is one of the few beers touting guava as a key taste where it actually does stand out! Fantastic!

OKAY, THIS IS OLD SCHOOL WEST COAST. From Niagara-on-the Lake, here is @TheExB Extension Two-Way West Coast IPA. At 6.5%, it has the grapefruit up front, the pine on the back-end but in the middle is big caramel and breadiness. The Exchange, though pricey, always came through.

GLENNN (3 N's) KNOWS THIS ONE ALL TOO WELL! He introduced me to @driftwoodbeer Fat Tug IPA back in 2014 when the LCBO only had it in big bottles. Truly west coast in both style and location (Victoria, BC), this 7% banger is grapefruit, melon with a light touch of pine. A beauty!

HONOURING OUR SOLDIERS ON REMEMBRANCE DAY! November 11th is, of course, Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the U.S. - the day where we honour both our fallen soldiers and those still serving. From Corunna, here's Two Water Brewing Co Remembrance Day Irish Red Ale. 🪖

@ThirdMoonBeer this isn't beer. You canned a root beer float. You "CLAIM" it contains 5% ABV. You want me to think this is a Root Beer Vanilla ice cream "sour ale". You added a subtle amount of sour flavour to a float, then canned it. I am on to you! Unique & cool #craftbeer

WELL, MY BILLS TOTALLY SHIT THE BED TODAY! And the Patriots won, making it worse. However, brightening up this dreary day is this Two Water Brewing Co Almost The Capital Corruna Pale Ale. With its breadiness, spiced flavour, it's a throwback to the Pale Ales of 20 years ago! 👍👍

DAVID AND I WENT ON A BREWERY EXCURSION TODAY... and landed at Two Water Brewing Co. in Corruna, just 10 km (6 miles) south of Sarnia. Here's their Giants IPA. Just 5.8%, there's some apricot in here with a bready, malty middle and pine on the back-end. It's somewhat decent. 🫤

HAVEN'T SEEN THIS ONE IN A WHILE! Here's one that Glennn knows all too well. Whitby's @5PaddlesBrewing was the first brewery to open near him when he was in Oshawa. Once they found their footing, they were pumping out beauties like this In Your Face IPA. Grapefruit and pine! 👍👍

FOUND MY SARNIA LCBO SUPERSTORE YESTERDAY! It was hiding in plain sight near the Walmart. Huge craft selection including this stunner from The Netherlands! It's the 10% @Moersleutelbeer Macaroon Machine Coconut Pastry (Imperial) Stout! A delicious dessert in a glass. Grab it!
