Thrilled to share this news via @thebookseller. This Book Made Me Think of You will publish in 2026 with @VikingBooksUK. It's a sweeping, bookish love story pitched as P.S. I Love You meets Eat, Pray, Love. And I am VERY excited about it. https://t.co/N1EPlcepFP

I spend most Friday evenings now rushing from a freezing cold pond in the countryside into a little horsebox sauna and back again and I honestly can't think of a better way to spend an evening.

There are lots of things I miss about living in a city. But moving back to the countryside near where I grew up has brought so much contentment.

One of those perfect autumn days that reminded me of why I swapped London for Somerset. Chilly wild swim surrounded by fields, country pub roast dinner, walk through the woods with child, friend and dogs. Back to apple cake baked with apples from the garden.

I'm thinking of getting a treadmill desk - does anyone have one? I love being a writer but my body does not. I sometimes sit for 12 hours at my desk without barely moving and something has to change πΆββοΈ

I can tell I've done a lot of writing this year because I listen to classical music when I write and my Spotify recommendations are now pretty much entirely classical music. Does anyone else listen to music when they write?

An intense evening of editing calls for cosy vibes. And why yes, I did buy a teapot shaped like a pumpkin.

Tonight I had my first experience of swimming by moonlight in the cold water. Magical.

How do you go about choosing a school for your child?! We're having to pick our son's first school for next year and I do not feel anywhere near grown up enough to be making this decision.

Today I visited a potential school my son might join next year. I did not feel anywhere near grown-up enough to be there. But it was so heartening to hear the teachers talk with such enthusiasm about the joy and power of reading π

A brilliant event today at @AppledoreBkFest with the wonderful @veronica_henry and @MrsAmandaProwse - some great chats about swimming and the strength of women and power of female friendship

Another day, another cold water swim, this time at a truly gorgeous swimming spot with some lovely people. I love the sense of community around outdoor swimming - so much so that it inspired my latest book The Lifeline!

Autumn is my favourite season for outdoor swimming. The air is cold but the water still has some warmth. Leaves on the surface. Hot cup of tea after. Bliss.
