-2nd or 3rd best player in the world -got to develop in peace with little expectations -didn’t matter in hoop convos until he was in his mid 20’s with a championship roster so he doesn’t have early media scars damaging his perception to the masses -underrated supporting cast

Bucks are so bad tho & Giannis isn’t like a traditional big defender that can raise the floor of your defense like an Utah Rudy Gobert. So instead of being an all nba defender he’s just I’d say a strong positive. A level below elite. Elite in spurts tho

With how good of a rim protector he is it gives me confidence he still would be an all nba level defender in the right context.

There’s a legitimate chance he’s shut down. By the time he’s back there’s gonna be nothing to play for, not even numbers or awards. Teams gonna be the 10 seed at the absolute best too. Might not even reach 40 games played on the season, i don’t see the point to be honest

Dame and Giannis had a +7.4 net rating on the court together. Other duos since 2023: Mitchell and Mobley: +7.9 Ant and Gobert: +7.9 Tatum and Brown: +7.8 Brunson and KAT: +6.1 Hali and Siakam: +5.0 LeBron and AD: +2.0 I will never agree that they didn't work.
Biggest misconception ever is that dame and giannis didn’t work as a duo. Could it have been better, absolutely. But it was already really good as is. Problem was the rest of the roster, the fact that we ran into the deepest team of the east in playoffs two years in a row.

Well it doesn’t really matter because even if curry is better at 40 he still won’t have the overall longevity LeBron had & his peak & prime both don’t sniff him either. So yeah there’s nothing curry can do to be on LeBron’s level at any capacity unfortunately

Is the increased pace of the league really one of the primary reasons for this? This isn’t just a Giannis thing too, calf injuries around the league or just other lower body strains or tears now days just feel like something you gotta deal with.

How did LeBron not have a big injury until his mid 30’s while being the superhuman athlete he is? Giannis is also a superhuman athlete, but these lower body injuries have been constantly reoccurring since he was like 27-28. & his body is steadily becoming weaker from it.
