United and ALPA @UnitedPilots now have an agreement in principle for new terms of their CBA, first of the majors to get there in this cycle. United and its ~13,700 have the least contentious relationship w mgmt of the majors. Delta, Southwest, American are in negotiations. $UAL

@lesliejosephs @UnitedPilots Also important to note that United, unlike other airlines, has the @UnitedPilots MEC Chairman on their board of directors. I think that is very helpful in the management / union relationship.

@lesliejosephs @UnitedPilots How many of them have an agreed upon arbitration or mediation process? My Union (NATCA) has an agreed arbitration process in CBA negotiations to avoid mgmt trying to impose work rules like the FAA did in 2006.

@HaackeDan @kyle_brack @lesliejosephs @UnitedPilots Not to mention that the National Mediation Board process can take years, literally.
