Here is where we are as architects. The tribe has spoken. Moralizing about the planet doesn't matter when the island comes first. Thanks @FixrExperts https://t.co/p7ZrPJwuQx

Freelance Architecture—Space doesn't permit my initial reaction, but tools are useless if we don't understand how to use them and on what we're using them; most of life is filled with the mundane, and all hierarchy isn't bad. @rogue_architect @mattbaran https://t.co/FkhNW4yjXD

Could negating the role of the project architect (and their team) and instead establishing a network of free-thinking, “equal” professionals become a new norm in practice?

I should be sleeping, but after catching the end of Pretty in Pink for the 1,000th time, I have to listen to the soundtrack again. #80sMusic

One of the most underrated songs of the mid-80s. It's a true classic lyrically, too. Dream Academy - "Life In A Northern Town" (Official Music Video) https://t.co/O6hZCd7sou via @YouTube "..As the train rolled out of sight Bye-bye..."

Do you wonder why people hate their lives? Some work as "managers" in basement offices like this. Yes, design matters—and a little daylight helps, too.

Therefore, how can we judge the merit of an award offered by a small group of judges at a specific time, defined by the cultural values of the award gatekeepers at that point in time? Will we shame projects of today in a few decades for falling short of tomorrow's values?

To my original post, my point is being validated. Awards reflect a culture's current sensibilities, which are shifting. When the 1st Pritzker was awarded, the judges felt it was deserved. Now, we look back with critical eyes. How dare they? Thus, are the rules absolute? (no).
