Stand Up Awareness Week was in full swing at Le Chéile! 🌈 Students explored LGBTQ+ inclusion, terminology & mental health in SPHE, joined lunchtime events, and launched our new Equality Alliance Club! 💬🧁 Funds raised for Belong To & Wellbeing. Huge thanks to all! 💖

3rd Yrs visited the Regional Park for an ecology field trip, where they explored local habitats, carried out fieldwork activities, and gained hands-on experience in studying ecosystems 🌱They applied classroom learning to the natural environment 📈 Thank to our Science Department

☕🎓 Our TY students got their brew on with barista training! From perfect espresso shots to latte art 🎨, they mastered skills in coffee-making, customer service, and time management. Their talents are brewing to perfection—who’s ready for a cuppa? 👏☕

🎃 TY Pumpkin Carving Fun! 🎃 Our TY students wrapped up the term with a burst of creativity, carving spooky and imaginative pumpkins that showed great skill and teamwork. Well done to all, and congrats to our winners - Olivia, Megan, Amelie & Maja! 👏🏻

Over 100 students took part in our annual Junior Speak Up competition last week 🗣️ Our First Years - Alex, Alannah, and Haaniya - spoke with passion and skill, doing us proud! 👏 Congrats to Haaniya Navid on placing third and to overall winner Evina from Pres Ballyphehane!

Both our girls’ and boys’ GAA teams faced McEgan College on Oct 23rd in Tom Creedon Park 🏐 The boys triumphed in a hard-fought game 👏🏼 while our first ever Ladies team made history, narrowly losing after a thrilling battle. A proud day for all involved! #LeCheileAbu

Well done to our veteran debaters, Connor Knapp and Max Day, who represented us brilliantly at the Senior Mace Debating competition in DCU! 👏 They won their first debate, placed second in the next, and held their own against top opposition - making us very proud! 🗣️

The U15 Soccer team kicked off the year away to a strong Coláiste Muire Crosshaven side ⚽️ After a tough start, they fought back with great spirit and some lovely second-half play. Though the result didn’t go their way, their determination and attitude earned high praise! 👏🏻

Our recent Fancy Dress Fundraiser was a huge success, raising nearly €1,500 for The Crann Centre! 🎭 From ABBA to pirates to staff dressed as students, creativity and spirit filled the halls. Thank you all for your generosity - enjoy a well-deserved midterm break! 🎉

Reptile Haven @ReptileHaven_ie came to visit our TY students @lecheileb this week! Our students had up-close encounters with snakes, a tortoise, lizards, and geckos! 🦎 🐍 We had a great time learning about these amazing creatures, their environment and how to best care for them!

Well done to all at Le Chéile who took part in GOAL Jersey Day, raising over €600 for GOAL’s vital work supporting vulnerable communities through humanitarian aid, tackling poverty, hunger, and the effects of conflict and climate change. 🌍👏💛

The U17 boys showed grit in their Munster Cup clash vs Boherbue. A tough first half saw them 4-0 down, but they rallied after the break with strong play and a fine goal from Peter Mulroy. It finished 5-1, but their determination and attitude shone through 👏⚽️ #ExtraCurriculars
