CELEBRATE 100: Today marks the 100th day of school across the district! At @ElkmontHS , Mr. Aderholt and his staff are celebrating by making 100 positive phone calls to parents and guardians about their student.

The sun wasn't the only thing shining bright on the baseball field at Ardmore High School on Tuesday. Laughter, high-fives, and home runs were plentiful as the Tigers special education class hosted Sparkman and Hazel Green for an adaptive baseball game.

In honor of the September 11th anniversary, students enrolled in the Public Safety Academy at the Limestone County Career Technical Center took time Thursday to not only remember those who lost their lives, but to honor those who made sacrifices that day as well.

Thursday was a special evening as we celebrated the incredible achievements of our English learners. We honored those who met their yearly growth targets on the ACCESS assessment, as well as those who successfully exited our English Language program. We're proud of them all!

In a strategic effort to enhance the areas of science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and math across the district, STEAM labs have made their debut in seven of our elementary schools to begin the new school year. Tanner Elementary introduced STEAM during the 22-23 year.

Our 5th grade students spent last week learning about cotton and the many uses of it. As part of their lesson, they took a field trip to the cotton gin at the Associated Growers Co-Op where they learned what happens from the time the cotton arrives until it's shipped out.

WEATHER ALERT: Due to the potential of flash flooding and gusty winds, Limestone County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay Friday, September 13. Given the forecast, this will allow for a safer commute to school for our staff and students.
