There is a latent demand for financial services of all types due to: ⠀⠀Underbanked people with no access to financial products. ⠀⠀Undeveloped and inefficient digital banking experience. ⠀⠀Reliance on cash despite the surge of e-commerce.

The opportunities for digitizing the entire small and medium businesses economy are many. Only in Brazil, 30% of GDP and 54% of formal jobs come from SMBs, some of these businesses are still being done on pencil and paper. Think of Contabilizei, Conta Azul, or Omie in Brazil.

According to Harlem Capital, 820 LATAM companies raised $17.2B in VC funding in 2021, but that funding was not equal across teams. There is a huge capital gap for all women-founded startups in the region and some VCs have the commitment to close it.
