The display code was written for the earliest "Alpha machine" model of the IMLAC, for which no documentation or other code survives. Zachary Harper recently figured out how it works from reading the listing, and ported it to the standard "Graphics machine" model.

The Freeway Crossing game was written by Michael Irrgang in 1971. He made it for Earl Hunt, who was going to use it to measure reaction times in a psychology study.

Emulation was a bit of a challenge due to the game being written for an early "Alpha" model, as opposed to the later "Graphics" model. No documentation has been found for the former. Zachary Harper reverse engineered the details from the game listing.

The game was supposedly used psychology experiments at University of Washington. It may or may not have been an inspiration for the Frogger arcade game.
