I say it all the time. Africans have a deep admiration for African Americans. Ive been to 8 countries in Africa. Im treated like family wherever in Africa I go. Over a 25 year span, I can only think of one or two negative experiences.

Im African American. You want me to flee, but you complain about immigrants who flee to the US. Which is it?
@kzshabazz
Good for you, but I have no desire to step foot on that continent! When ancestor were sold into slavery and left for America, they left for good. I will not be visiting, won’t even think about living there. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I get love in Africa too. There are a few African haters that come to the USA that put a bad taste in people’s mouth though. I ran into a few of them. Most Africans on the continent got love for us.
@Unmad_Nomad
Yes, a few. They tend to be first gens. Also true that we have a few African Americans who have learned lots of stereotypes about Africans. Whites have worked hard to divide us. We must do what we can to unite.
I have been to Ghana, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, The Gambia, and Kenya. Africa has the potential to be paradise on earth. That potential is mostly suffocated by the west (esp. US/UK/France) and their junior partners (African misleaders).

I spent about two months collectively in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. I was treated like family. People were shocked, excited and honored when I told them I was African American. I had one negative experience and they person didn’t even know I wasn’t from there..
@emanithegoddess
Asante sana for that, dada yangu.
I wish more of our people could just go and see for themselves. I have had the privilege of taking Black students three times now.
