I don't know about other women, but seeing men playing at having a period whilst I'm actually on one, really grinds my gears. They will never know what it's like. Not even remotely. π£
@krakenbun
Seriously, having an ultrasound to find out the sex of my baby while having a human rights complaint demanding I see a male as a female has been one of the strangest situations Iβve ever been in.
@krakenbun
Yes I'm perimenopausal so my periods last ages and don't get me started on the flooding. The idea of men fetishising all this boils my blood.
I had a friend with endometriosis and hers were a nightmare.
We don't celebrate people who fetishise other medical issues.
@krakenbun
Mine are so bad right now I have been bleeding for over a month! I'm going for biopsies next week of my cervix and uterus as endometrial cancer runs in my family. It makes me sick they make a fetish out of it.
@miss_teabaggins
Oh gosh. I can't imagine having one that long. Hopefully whatever is causing it has a benign explanation so to speak. Please keep us posted on how it turns out. I mean only if you want to of course. Either way, hope the news is good. β€οΈ

Mine are nowhere near as bad as some women, so apologies if this annoys.
I came to treasure mine as a celebration of being a woman.
Itβs not about kids, more itβs uniqueness of being womanly. Iβve always felt this way.
Now I have the bonus of it being a big FU to AGP men.

Never apologise for being okay with your period. I think it's brilliant if you can have that mind set. It also shows how it varies for all of us. I'm honestly loving this thread. So many women opening up about their experiences.
@krakenbun
Same here. As I have gotten older, they have worsened to the point I canβt leave the house on the first day. That they are trying to cosplay this as well is simply crossing the line.
@krakenbun
I don't suffer in terms of pain but in practical terms it impacts me each month - even taking the pill my period is heavy and includes clots which doesn't make me feel good
IBS is not the same as menstruating and the relentless appropriation is taking the piss
@krakenbun
No matter how hard they wish, no matter how hard they try - it ainβt happening.
Chances are any symptoms they get are a side effect of HRT. They donβt have a womb, or menstrual cycle. No matter how hard they wish for it.
And given what Iβve heard, why would you wish for that?
@krakenbun
Same. Disabling cramps and bleeding through my clothes at work due to my periods becoming unexpectedly heavy isn't "fun". Send one of these guys to me and I'll give him a boot to the bollocks so he can get a realistic point of view.
@krakenbun
If men had to cope with periods, period pain and everything that comes with them, not to mention pregnancy and childbirth they would soon crying out and screaming like a little baby!
