Busy few days for us, with call outs on the WHW, Ben Lui, & An Caisteal. Massive thanks @MCA_media Rescue 151 & Rescue 199 for air support. Remember: respect the Munros, good hillcraft incl. map & compass, right kit & sensible choices are key. #BenLui #AnCaisteal . #ThreeInThree

Winter's grip remains on Scottish mountains! Another challenging rescue on Stuc a Chroin last night. Two climbers brought to safety. Conditions are still tough – are YOU prepared? #MountainSafety #WinterPreparedness #Scotland #MountainRescue

Thankfully, the quick thinking of two young walkers who happened to come upon the casualty were able to provide hot drinks and guide the rescue team into their location with their headtorches, preventing a bad situation becoming worse. 🙏 #Rescue #Teamwork #Walkers #Headtorches.

The team deployed a hasty party as conditions deteriorated, meaning full winter rescue protocol was actioned. The casualty was located and assessed by the team's remote medical technicians and extracted by foot to awaiting off-road support, then to base and into the hands of 🚑.

The #weather outlook across our area is similar to much of Scotland. High winds, rain, and snow are forecast tomorrow, making the mountains very challenging. Given the conditions, reaching you in an emergency may take many hours, and air support is unlikely. Follow @the_MWIS

Last weekend was our final training of the year. And it was time to test our skills against the search dogs from Search & Rescue Dog Association (Scotland) and SARDA Southern Scotland along with their handlers from Tayside Mountain Rescue Team and Ochils Mountain Rescue Team.

Agencies are reporting heavy snow followed by rain fall will create snow instability & #Avalanche risk. Added to that the wild weather reported @the_MWIS & other agencies regarding #stormbert mean the hills will be wintery and wild today. ❄️🌨️

Some good advice on how to enjoy a winter day in the Scottish hills. Remember, if you do need assistance, then call "999" and ask for "POLICE" then "MOUNTAIN RESCUE". This ensures you will get assistance as quickly as possible. #killinmrt

1) We received a call to assist the @Scotambservice with the extraction of a walker who suffered a lower leg injury. Despite the slippery terrain due to recent rainfall, we were able to aid the individual via a stretcher to the awaiting ambulance. 💪🚑 🏥.
