Finished this today and really enjoyed it. Tons of action, well-realized characters and as high a stakes story as you can get. A hopeless battle against an infinitely powerful enemy. Some nice magic stuff sprinkled in. Recommended!.

Now reading Legend by David Gemmell. I bought this years ago after hearing it was a great fantasy novel. Finally giving it a go.

Finished this up this morning. Extremely whimsical and fun. I could see this being incredible to read as a kid. The wordplay, puns and cleverness are off the charts. Nice story about a bored kid learning to look at the world with fresh, excited eyes. Thumbs up.
