Ha ha, thanks, Scott. I see this book as bringing me full circle from my first opus: Canada's Undeclared War: Fighting Word from the Literary Trenches.
@KenMcGoogan "Master of narrative history fires inkwells at local demagoguery driving world nuts so he can have peace of mind to research next arctic masterpiece. " .That's my take. Looking forward to it on 24 Sept.

You, sir, are a man of insight and good judgment.
I'm reading this amazing book that shows how Trump and others are following the playbooks of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, and others. The same cultish behaviour to make people lose their ability to think clearly. @KenMcGoogan knocks it out of the park.

Think France in the 1940s. Make no mistake: I celebrate The Resistance . .
This year, Tucker Carlson—who has called for a US invasion of Canada—was given several standing ovations in Calgary, suggesting that “a significant minority of Canadians would be ready to collaborate with any American occupation,” writes @KenMcGoogan.

Ha ha! I especially love this bit: "Mr. Trump’s profound ignorance – a vast mental wasteland of incuriousness, guarded by stupidity – is, like his bottomless vulgarity, his unalloyed corruption, and his refusal to abide by any convention of civilized conduct, his superpower.".
My latest, on J D Vance as the dreaded “smarter Trump”: Turns out that makes him less of a threat, not more.

It's a metaphor for the sharks. The sharks are the worst. One vote for the orange lunatic and presto! the sharks are gone. Oh, and no more tiresome voting. Like the sharks. The sharks don't vote. And they're doing fine.

Big shoutout to The Walrus, Canada's answer to The Atlantic. Why? Why, for running this excerpt from Shadows of Tyranny!.
“Like the war correspondents of the 1930s, we find ourselves crying: Wake up! See what is happening next door!” Read an excerpt from Shadows of Tyranny: Defending Democracy in an Age of Dictatorship by @KenMcGoogan, published by @DMPublishers:.

Amen. Not only that, but I think I know what word Andrew can't bring himself to utter. It starts with F and ends with ISM.
My latest, on a catastrophic US Supreme Court decision: the court’s “solution” to the imagined problem of revenge prosecutions — the right to commit any crime w/ impunity, so long as it’s an official act — makes the threat of dictatorship more likely
