Congrats to the Central and Putnam boys and Central, Minnechaug and Chicopee girls for all reaching the sectional semifinals without having to play a game.
You should have to play more than 72 minutes for a spot in the state semifinals.

I'd like to see them run a similar length race to get there.
Western Mass. track runners don't get a 100 meter head start in the 1,000, the basketball and baseball teams shouldn't either.

It looks like you’ve never experienced playing in any of these tournaments. As a former player I’ve made it through sectionals into states. Playing at the cage is an unforgettable experience. The Eastern side of mass really seems entitled in all of this.. For $??

Entitled? Hardly. Think if you want a spot in the final four you should have to win more than a couple games.
The entitlement comes from a group that a group that insists they're way is the only way.
EMass seems to be giving up games at the Garden for this.

I'd settle for 60%.
But it has the same result throughout each section. If they went to 70% like it once was, D1W boys would go from 6 to 4 and D2W would go from 7 to 3.
