Really fun day on the LEO satellites today, especially working @KE9AJ in New Mexico (DM65AS) via RS-44.

A couple of long jumps to the UK today from New Mexico at negative elevation on Sandia Crest near Albuquerque. @2m0sql at 7483 km @G_0ABI at 7840 km FT-847 and a 3x7 Arrow. Thanks guys for being there!

Inspired by John’s @DK9JC testing with cheap LNA’s, I purchased one to experiment with. Seems to be effective. Looking forward to trying it out /P on RS-44 or AO-7(b) on low elevation passes.

First #Orionids meteor scatter contact of the morning with #w5eme on six meters.

Configured the station setup for meteor scatter MSK144 with the little 6m Moxon. Orionids ongoing with the peak Oct. 20-21. I’ll give it a go before sunrise in the morning for an obligatory QSO.. #orionids #meteorscatter.

Well, it took nearly seven years, but this morning I finally achieved SOTA "Super Sloth" with 10,000 chaser points working K9MP/P on Mount Lemmon, Arizona. Thanks to Chris @K7TABravo for getting me into this niche portion of the hobby! @summitsontheair @SOTA

Albeit static crashes from a thunderstorm that rolled in just before AO-7 mode A,…was able to work, Doug @K8DP_Doug , @wd8d, and @kb1_hy .
