Rude reviews and Rude responses should be edited by the editorial board. It doesn't help anyone and not science at all. It's ok to criticize a paper- but you can do it with good choice of words. Anger back to the reviewers should be withheld. We should all hold higher standards

Fully agree. This was more of a slight regarding how we feel when we get scathing reviews (which can be extremely helpful in improving quality of the work) but still have to maintain humility in our responses. I personally love the peer review process.

You really find out who you are as a person and scientist. It can be cumbersome but there is so much growth if all are invested. Authors and reviewers alike.
