Don’t want your AI models broken due to Nightshade?
The fix is easy, just ensure you’re licensing the art and negotiating directly with the artists, instead of just scooping up whatever you want without permission.
@katriaraden
Nightshade works just as well as "AGI" as claimed by hype people. Meaning fat chance. It is a contrived dataset.
Any small changes in the AI model will render Nightshade ineffective.
@katriaraden
I understand that this is supposed to be the reasonable response...but how?
Even if you agree to it, the Generative Algorithm posing as AI is *still going to produce work that looks like yours without you getting any credit for it.* It will still destroy your artistic integrity.
@Grumpy_Potat
Well, the next step is to educate people on why they should NEVER agree to license their work. That’s the magic of having a choice, the ability to refuse :D
@katriaraden
Artists deserve to be respected and compensated for their work. It's important to license art and negotiate directly with the artists, rather than using it without permission. Let's support and value the creativity and efforts of artists.

@NullPointerEcho
It's probably fine for them to train on Nightshaded images since AI learns exactly like humans does by 'looking at' and being 'inspired by' these images. No humans seem to have mistaken cows for handbags after looking at them... Yet.
@katriaraden
One thing I am waiting to see is when people want to create a actually ethical model, it would be too expensive and time consuming to the point it would be far too expensive to create and manage.
