Sankyo Digi-glo Model No. 501 not as neat as their space-age design. but for a few bucks at a yard sale i can’t complain now, the trick is making it work

investing early in my newly made up term “smidgINT” allow me to demonstrate its meaning electronic + intelligence = ELINT geospatial + intelligence = GEOINT smidgen + intelligence = SMIDGINT the rest is left as an exercise for the reader…

Can I say something about Indian workers without Republicans shutting me down and Democrats calling me racist? This take is wrong. I spent years on a technologically complex oil rig off India, bringing energy independence to the subcontinent. Our crew set the Guinness World

what if our hypothetical pursuer is chasing something ultimately good and still makes the same sacrifice? (c4) interesting.

depends on the definition of "bad" imo is chasing $$, status, etc. inherently bad if the pursuer's intentions are clear upfront? (circle 2) is it worse if this pursuer sacrifices something they claim to value at the altar of their pursuit? (c3)

visual I made based on a conversation I had last week actions reveal what we value (pursue). but we often claim to value something other than what our actions show 1>2>4>3 vs 1>4>2>3 ?

The half frequency could be the quarter frequency I suppose, and the “true” frequency the half frequency. Here is the same plot set for unknown = 22hz much less useful in the case where max sample frequency ~= 0.5x unknown frequency

same plot including the “unknown” function, an 11Hz sine wave a few notable items (entirely based on known vs unknown sample rate ratio) 1) ~4-4.5s, finds the half frequency of the unknown function 2) ~6s, finds min/max magnitude 3) ~9.75-10s, finds true frequency

If my unknown input signal is approximately equal to my max sampling rate (ex: plot^) then I should be able to run a series of “sweep sample functions” to recreate the unknown signal based on something… pseudo aliasing between similar subsample rates? max min magnitudes?

disclaimer: not a signals engineer but it seems like the answer should be yes… perhaps this is the field known as compressed sensing? not sure all inspired by (blamed on) Richard hamming’s 1st chapter on digital filters from The Art of Doing Science and Engineering
