The first chapter of @TakeRedBean is out now. From what started as a simple Twitter thread back in February, to now becoming the first of many stories to come. It's been quite a long journey to get to this point. But it could not have been done without the @Azuki community...

The read, write, own model describes the internet’s shift toward web3. But it also applies to our collective pursuit of meaning: Read → Religion Write → Philosophy Own → ??? In an automated world, this third stage is more essential than ever before.

Two questions drive me: 1. What can I uniquely contribute to the world? 2. What does the world need now and moving forward? Interesting to observe that my greatest perceived weakness of past has also become my greatest asset now. Emotional sensitivity.

Distribution needs to be baked into the product. To achieve this, the experience should still be enjoyable alone, but even better with a group. And perhaps even more importantly, a similar experience should not be present elsewhere. Otherwise, why exist in the first place?

If there does exist a higher power, I firmly believe that tapping into our creativity to create something uniquely ours is how we can feel closest to its source. This is as close to an answer we can find in our timeless search for meaning.

Co-creation is the optimal vehicle for mobilizing groups, from any culture and of any size, towards discovering and creating meaning together.

In many cases, a slight reframing is all that’s needed to shine light on a seemingly poor circumstance. This ability to reframe is closely linked to creativity, ownership, and power. Creativity unlocks ownership over a situation which then leads to the reclaiming of power.

Help someone learn something new and they may remember it for a moment. Help someone discover something new about themselves and they may appreciate it for longer. Help someone create something deeply personal and they will cherish it for a lifetime.

Blockchain is the optimal device for the preservation of culture. The next evolution of web3 will see a shift from a focus on having ownership to feeling ownership. From a culture of exclusivity to one of inclusivity, we move towards the journey of being sovereign individuals.

Who you are building for shapes the product you build. The product you build then shapes the people you are building for. The product is merely a vehicle for the culture we strive to cultivate.

Manga originally served as a way for people to portray everyday life and social commentary in simple narratives. Similarly, Jesus used parables to communicate profound lessons in simple, relatable stories. Stories are the vehicle for both culture and meaning.

What makes manga (and anime by extension) so compelling is its ability to convey deep emotional truths in a more palatable format. After all, fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth.
