All of UT’s bats on the trip were tested (& passed) Thurs w/1 UT rep on hand & 2 from VU. Only 1 bat failed (a VU bat) pre series. Beck used his bat in BP (Th & Fr) ahead of Game 1 (& Beck said his sticker fell off in the cage). After his HR was disallowed, Beck’s bat was removed.

BTW - the #Vols will get Beck’s bat back after today’s game. The notion that there would be further examination, etc is incorrect. Since the bat did not have the series sticker it was taken out of play. The umpires have had it in their dressing room since. Back in play Tuesday.

Dec 18th, 1999 Married @WilkersonPennye - @Vol_Hoops won @ Memphis 74-69 to improve to 9-0 (@VolNetwork allowed me to take that game off 😉). 25 years later - to the day - @LadyVol_Hoops wins 90-75 at Memphis to improve to 9-0. A unique bit of symmetry.
