thanks for listening to what I had to say, I didn’t expect this kind of solidarity when I posted that thread last night + went to bed. Appreciate the many people who helped me with my little investigation of this tourney the last 4 days & everyone that believes in trans rights 🏳️‍⚧️

Team Canada will be withdrawing from the tournament. Trans women are women and we as a team do not stand with excluding trans women.

Unfortunately, I’ve been made aware Trans Woman are not allowed to participate so I am withdrawing myself from this tournament. I stick by my community, and I don’t want to take part in something which excludes some incredible woman.

Excluding trans women was not something I knew about when agreeing to play. I’ve decided to withdraw from the tournament as I don’t stand for unfair treatment against any women. I don’t think anyone should stand for any type of discrimination. Trans women are women 🏳️‍⚧️🩷 !

I will also be stepping down from the tournament, I did not know how shady this was. Trans women are women, enough said.🏳️‍⚧️

Can’t support this, this is gross. Trans women are women and deserve to play in women’s events.

lunar horrors is also a tourney in the spring for nb/women run by COTF and is inclusive of trans women, I’ll definitely be participating in that one instead and I encourage yall to sign up when it rolls around 🫶
