A black woman running for state senate punched by her cop opponent during a protest over the end of Roe v. Wade. This is how they plan to keep power. Expect more of this.
Remember when Biden told us not to get violent during protests yesterday? Has he condemned this? Because using violence to crush protestors and demands for action is the real danger here, and the only way to defend a failed state.
I spoke with
@JenRourke29
, the activist and candidate who was assaulted on Friday. The conversation was about a lot more than the cop that sucker punched her.
I'm a reproductive rights organizer & State Senate candidate. Last night, after speaking at our Roe rally, my Republican opponent – a police officer – violently attacked me.
This is what it is to be a Black woman running for office. I won't give up.
@jordanzakarin
Done with the marches and protests, esp after Rittenhouse.
How about a National day of silent protest? One day when we buy nothing, boycott everything, and write emails to our Reps telling them why. Or are we just noisy sheep?
