Grace and peace. Out.
New York, NY
Joined October 2007
Hey folks. I've been on Twitter since 2007. Coming up on 16 years :) Sadly I think it's beyond a redemptive medium at this point so I'm out. I'll be pastoring https://t.co/A7SI2yU1qo if you are in the city and looking for a community to worship with. Wishing you much grace

We had a genuine visitation of the Holy Spirit at our 6pm service tonight. Shaking my head in wonder and gratitude and awe. The kindness of God to draw so near...

When Jesus expels demons and heals the sick, he is driving out of creation the powers of destruction, and is healing and restoring created beings who are hurt and sick. The lordship of God to which the healings witness, restores creation to health. Jesus' healings are not

Spiritual practices don't give us "spiritual brownie points" or help us "work the system" for a passing grade from God. They simply put us in a place where we can begin to notice God and respond to his word to us. (Adele Ahlberg Calhoun)

Surprised at @CTmagazine under reporting on Asbury. They did a couple of things, but not in proportion to the conversation and moment happening around the world with Gen Z. Like a lot of other older institutions, struggling to show relevance to the next generation. Saddened as

Just a reminder folks, don't believe everything you read on social media or the internet. Amazing how we forget that when we get caught up in delivering hot takes.

Conservatives would rather work to reform church theology and practice. Intellectuals doubt supernatural intervention. Rationalists dismiss emotional enthusiasm. All convene committees and organize campaigns. But few will plead for revival. (Martyn Lloyd-Jones)

"There is no more important subject of the Christian church at this present hour, than this very question of the need of revival, it is second to none." (Martyn Lloyd-Jones)

You don't have to go to Asbury for a move of God. Pray for your local high school or college where you are. Set time apart in your weekly rhythm to pray for Gen Z.

This is the response of a young man publicly repenting of his sins and giiving his life to Jesus at the Asbury Outpouring.

Asbury Outpouring tonight. Just simple devotion to Jesus. Purest thing I've witnessed in a long time. Zero hype, confession, testimonies, reading of scripture and worship.

Here is my summary of the Asbury Revival as I sit here in the room. It's a paraphrase of Jesus words at his annointing in Mark 14:6 "Leave them alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering them? They have done a beautiful thing for me.

Currently broken down on the side of the road 4 hours from Asbury Revival. Rented a new SUV to get here. Gotta love it. Stars are magnificent out here though :)

The need to critique everything because it doesn't align with your emphasis, theology or perspective is a sign of immaturity. I cannot make the boundaries of my opinion the boundaries of the kingdom.

If you're unhappy with revival in another location, why not pray for what should be happening where you are. Critiques without hunger sound thin in these desperate times.

Though written in light of the 2016 election, I think this still has value as a vision of discipleship in secular culture. https://t.co/LHJDifDSys Needs a chapter on prayer though

How should the church engage our culture? The recent political cycle has shattered the lens through which the American church has looked at politics through much of our lifetimes. If we return to the...
