Mental health counselor says losing weight intentionally is fatphobic

@joepabike @libsoftiktok As someone that weighs 280 lbs, I can confirm this is correct. I am gross. I want to lose at least 80 lbs to be where I feel most comfortable. Yes, I know I would need to continue to lose weight after the first 80 lbs to be healthier, but I feel it's a good starting goal.

@joepabike @libsoftiktok This made me laugh so hard! I’m morbidly obese, struggled my entire life. I can confirm being fat is gross. I’ll spare you all the gory details. Just like @BillyMoses I know I need to lose weight and I’m intentionally/successfully working on it.

(And as I acknowledged earlier, it might’ve been better if I simply said “being fat is gross” and not uniformly condemned all fat people (many of whom probably regret their physical state).)
