While I appreciate the sentiment and pedagogical rationale behind not including scores with reviews, not having them means you have to make inferences about tonality with extremely limited data, anonymously. This doesn't mix well with grad student angst. #emnlp2019

@jmhessel Even worse when #reviewer2 only writes a 1 line review feeling like they didn’t even read the paper

@barryjdevereux One argument: you should respond to points, rather than scores. If you got a 4.5 from a reviewer, you might be less likely to incorporate/respond to/spend energy on their comments vs. if the same reviewer gave a 2.5
