🧵 Steps to file cases against News programs: 1. After a program is shown on TV or online, within 1 week, email the Channel (in Hindi or English) why you are dissatisfied with the program. Email IDs of all Channels that are NBDA members can be found here:

2. The Channel must reply within 1 week after receiving your email. If you are dissatisfied with their reply or if they don't reply, within 1 week, email NBDSA on authority @nbanewdelhi .com or fill this online complaint form:

In your complaint add a link to the program, mention the timing in the video at which the channel says something problematic, add channel's email response if you get one, mention the reasons why you are dissatisfied with channel's response.

3. After 2-4 months, if NBDSA thinks your complaint is valid, you will be invited for an online meeting. You can speak yourself (Hindi/English) or nominate someone else to represent you, like a lawyer, social worker, or anyone else who you think is best to speak on your behalf.

After your turn, the channel's representative will get a chance to present their side. After the channel's turn, you may request for an additional minute to make closing remarks, if any.

5. After 1-3 months, NBDSA will email you the order. NBDSA can: a) Warn, admonish, censure, express disapproval against the channel b) Fine the channel upto Rs.1,00,000 c) Recommend the Ministry of Broadcasting to suspend channel's license
