Tomatoe farmers in Baringo South, Kenya left their tomatoes to rot after failing to find the market.
We need to have solutions for our farmers in Africa as Africans .
@jcniyomugabo
This is a very sorrowful circumstance to face such loss after all efforts been spent.
We (Africans) need to create a sustainable food system, it is sad that there are other African areas where tomatoes are scarcing and facing a great price inflation on them while these lost.

#Kenya
,ns are still buying and eating tomatoes ๐ . It's the
#farmers
business to take their tomato to the market. The market does not come to the
#farm
.
The problem is in most farmers head. Farmers must normalize adding shelve life and value to their produce on their farms.๐ ๐น

Few Days back I was watching a YouTube video about how Chinese companies are capturing Tomato Sause n Pury markets in Africa & helping their own farmers...
So why African Govts / businessmen / farmer cooperatives not doing the same for their own farmers !!
@jcniyomugabo
Drying tomatoes and grinding them into powder, turning tomatoes into tomatoe paste, source plus canning preserves tomatoes they can be sold in those forms.
@jcniyomugabo
Aint it funny how we, African leaders have created good business erena for Foreigners and protecting our market for their benefits yet allowing our fellow Africans products to rot? No no, What did we liberated our Countries for then ? Just to be spectators of what is happening?
