Visualization of what is inside of AI models. This represents the layers of interconnected neural networks. And yes patterns do develop and they can form a signature of how they think. The pattern can be seen as the thought process.

Manufacturers are increasing the prices of Windows-based computers due to rising component costs. Dell and Lenovo have already announced price increases of up to fifteen percent, mainly caused by shortages in DRAM and NAND. Memory has become one of the most expensive components

The state of popular Windows 11 apps and their RAM management is concerning, especially as RAM prices continue to rise. 1. Discord is always 1GB and even hits up to 4GB 2. WhatsApp is now a web app, not a native app, and RAM usage is frequently 1GB 3. Microsoft Teams, also a web

Crazy to think the PS5 released 5 years ago.
A PlayStation 5 delivers about 10 teraflops (TFLOPS) of performance, which was top-of-the-line in terms of console gaming only a few years ago. The successor to the PS5, the PS5 Pro, was released in 2024 with ~16.7 TFLOPS of performance and the same 16 GB of unified shared

It's an empirical fact that basically everything in our day to day lives has gotten worse over the years. The quality of everything -- food, clothing, entertainment, air travel, roads, traffic, infrastructure, housing, etc -- has declined in observable ways. Even newer inventions

RAM prices are disgraceful 😭
RAM prices have skyrocketed because running and training AI models require far more memory than traditional computing. Training, inference clusters, and GPU servers consume enormous amounts of DRAM and high-bandwidth memory, and suppliers are pivoting to meet that demand. It’s

Great question. When you store passwords, you don't store them directly (that would be unsafe). Instead, you "hash" them. It is hashing that turns "password123" into something like "a7f8k2m9x4". The problem is, if two people use "password123", they both get the same hash

Nvidia is no longer providing VRAM when they ship their GPU chips to laptop manufacturers, meaning that they will have to supply their own VRAM. Prices on Windows laptops will skyrocket, since they need both system RAM and VRAM. Apple simply needs to supply system RAM thanks to

Bitcoin opened December with a drop of more than seven percent. The decline came from selling across top tokens, forced liquidations, and thin weekend liquidity that made price swings more volatile. Strategy, the largest public corporate holder of bitcoin, also moved lower after
