"A new study involving the entire adult population of Denmark found a clear link between cannabis abuse and mental illness," writes Susan Pinker.
Our son has been saying for years that cannabis will be his generation's cigarettes--thought to be safe at any dose until it was…
@janellison
She points out to important facts. One, these are cannibis abusers. Two, it’s not clear if cannabis use causes mental illness or is part of it. Cause and effect have not been established, and even if it were it would this far apply only to abusers.
@Brubes793
And it is impossible to establish because the studies that would be required are unethical. So we have to use our judgement and decide for ourselves.
@janellison
Kids on the autism spectrum are particularly vulnerable to psychotic breaks on cannabis that lead to schizophrenia. For some, it only takes *one time*. (Fortunately, a therapeutic

diet can reverse the condition, but cannabis use must stop for the reversal to remain.)
@BreakingDadDan
Read the article and my comment. Wait for a randomized controlled trial that will never happen? Causation can not be established. We have to use judgement instead.
@janellison
I never thought I would say that but I can imagine that it is true, just seeing the impact it has on people I know.
Also; In the streets of NYC I can see this unfortunate glazed look on people as they puff away as they walk or sit on benches.
@janellison
Mental illness is caused from people consuming an inadequate human diet. We have always been carnivores and we keep making ourselves sick with plant toxins, oxilates, and carcinogens. I think cannabis certainly plays a role; however, it is way less than our diets.
