my mum and i planned a day out to mcr when i was a teen, came all the way from rhyl on the train, but i was so overwhelmed i turned to my mum and said "i cant do this". she was like "thats fine :)" and we got the train home. NEVER any ill will about it, just warmth.

the replies to this are hell. why do rich people hate to be considered rich. twisting themselves in knots, demeaning themselves, not to be seen as wealthy while telling on themselves, their situation and their priviledge in the process. baffling to me.
Always amazed when discussing private schools on here how many people using them genuinely think they're "squeezed middle" or not rich. Apart from a handful of full bursaries everyone using private schools is rich.
