This is a summary of findings from the most comprehensive global assessment of nonnative species ever conducted. The study by the IPBES provides unequivocal evidence of the major & growing threat of invasive species worldwide.
"At least 37,000 established alien species have been introduced by human activities beyond their natural range to all regions of Earth
A subset of these established alien species have become invasive alien species - more than 3,500 species globally"
🌊 Mangroves are lifelines for coastal communities and

. The latest assessment from the

shows the critical need for conservation efforts.
Without

action, around 7,065 km2 of mangroves will be lost.
