I started a new (remote) ad copywriting job 3 weeks ago. I’ve only cried once so far, but it was a REALLY ugly cry session 😅 (PS: I’ll be signing books in SLC on Saturday! 2-4:00, Sugarhouse Barnes & Noble.)

I’ll always *listen* to critique because I don’t want to miss an opportunity to learn. Sometimes it’s good to be a sponge! But there are times when it’s wiser to be an umbrella: protecting myself from toxic encounters and shaking them off afterward. ☔️ 🧽

Awhile back I posted a doodle about being overwhelmed by the messy aftermath of a depressive phase. I’ve thought about this comment by Andrea Bayhan often. It’s okay to tackle things little by little. A mess is not an emergency.
